Special Achievement!
After a lot of challenges and hard work behind-the-scenes we opened Tamariki Education Centre in Kenya, 29th September 2014 and WOW, we have come such a long way in such a short time.
After just a mere 4 years we have been placed 3rd out of over 250 schools in the region for management organisation, academic achievement and cleanliness/hygiene.
This is a wonderful acknowledgement to our School Director Tony Ngotho, and his team of dedicated staff who work tirelessly for the needy children of Kenya.

We are absolutely thrilled to have Claire Carruthers join our Education Is A Shield Trust as our volunteer fundraiser for Tamariki Education Centre.
Claire is an experienced Development Manager at Victoria University and highly skilled fundraiser in major gifts and capital campaigns by building long lasting relationships, with a proven success in strategic negotiations at every level. An expert strategist and story-teller, Claire believes philanthropy is a gift of love that can impact every aspect of humanity.
We are extremely grateful to Claire for offering her time, energy and expertise to our cause, and can not thank her enough.
